Terms and Conditions

These terms cover the apps published by CVH Visuals (ResEditor, GenR8, Switcher Pro, MyRate+ and Cairn) and the cvhvisuals.com website. By downloading or using an app or the site, you agree to them.

The apps

License. Apps you get from the App Store or through TestFlight are licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs your use of them. These terms add to that agreement and don't replace it. The apps' names, logos and artwork belong to CVH Visuals.

Cairn and the GPL. Cairn is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3 and is based on MeshCore One by Avi0n and contributors. Nothing in these terms restricts your rights under that license.

Purchases. Prices, in-app purchases and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store. If an app's price or features change, the change will be shown clearly before you pay for anything.

Your data. The apps don't send your data to CVH Visuals. What each one stores, and where, is described in the Privacy Policy.

Beta apps. MyRate+ and Cairn are in beta on TestFlight. Beta builds are provided as-is for testing: they may contain bugs, change or lose features, stop working when a build expires, or be withdrawn. Keep your own backups of anything important.

Estimates, not advice. Tax, pay and other financial figures in MyRate+ are estimates for planning. They aren't tax, legal or financial advice; check them with a qualified professional before you rely on them. Likewise, check ResEditor's bandwidth results and GenR8's test signals against your own equipment before a show.

Updates and requirements. Updates may change features or the iOS, iPadOS, macOS or watchOS versions an app needs. CVH Visuals doesn't promise to support every device or system version, and may stop offering an app at any time.

Connections and charges. Some features need a network connection, such as Switcher Pro reaching OBS on your network or Cairn downloading offline maps. Any data or roaming charges from your mobile provider are your responsibility.

The text, photos, videos and other content on cvhvisuals.com are © CVH Visuals or used with permission. You may link to the site, but please don't copy or reuse its images and videos without asking.

No warranty and limits of liability

Apart from what Apple's license agreement and the law where you live require, the apps and the site are provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, CVH Visuals isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by relying only on an app's results, a flat battery, a lost connection or equipment outside its control.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
